 Spring
« Thread Started on Jul 16, 2010, 6:54am »

Daniel Rose has finally opened his new place in the 1st and I just snagged a reservation for dinner on October 6!

Our meals at Spring have been the culinary highlights of our trips to Paris and our cooking class with Daniel last May was the icing on the cake. Can't wait to see the new place. The hype over the opening on Wednesday has been all over the web so I'm thrilled to have bee able to get reservations.

Jo (this is how I feel right now.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D )

HI Elaine,

I just called the Spring Boutique (33-01-58-62-44-30) since the phone at the restaurant isn't hooked up yet. It should be hooked by the time you are ready to reserve for next year.

There's a great new web site called Paris By Mouth which has a lot of info and reviews on the new Spring, as well as a whole bunch of other restaurants in Paris. Check it out.

Nice to see you here.......have a great weekend!

Jody, I've probably read every single article on Spring in the last month. I was looking for news of the opening so we could finally reserve for the fall. I love Paris by Mouth because it posts stories from most of the Paris food blogs and provides links directly to those blogs. The Leib, Meg Zimbeck, Patricia Wells, John Talbott, and Alex Lobrano are all part of the site, so it's a great place to check every day for the most up to date reviews and comments. They also have a daily "Food Porn" ~ mouth watering pictures of food items that usually make me salivate.

Here the link:

You've maybe already seen this, but the blog Phread contributes to has recently posted an article about the new Spring:

I was inspired by your dinner reservation, Jo! I emailed Friday and somebody called me on Saturday to confirm my lunch reservation for Thursday, Sept. 30.

The email address is: contact@springparis.fr

How cool! The Lieb just posted on his latest visit to Spring. Can't wait to see how it compares with his first tiny little place.

I saw this one on Paris by Mouth (my current obsession). Isn't Daniel cute? He's so sweet and down to earth and very funny. Can't wait for our dinner there!

Jo

edited to add, just got reservations at Regalade St Honore a few minutes ago. I'll try to book Nomiya for Den's 50th early (4am!) Sunday morning, but we have La Grande Cascade as our backup. This will be a very food centered trip. ;D
